NETWORK SECURITY STARTS WITH VISIBILITY

Protecting your company’s data has increasingly grown more complex. Now more than ever, companies need adaptable and scalable network visibility and security solutions. APCON provides the visibility needed to improve security in any network environment.

Basics about TAPs

The term TAB is an acronym that stands for Test Access Port. A network called Tap Tap Ethernet, creates a passive access point to a network connection, so that the data transmitted over the cable data signals can be read for analysis and evaluation. Once installed, all traffic can use a tap, transparent, fast, easy, and are provided without Beeinträchigung the active network management, for different monitoring applications. A network TAP operates at the OSI Layer 1 and has no MAC address. Therefore, it is the network invisible and can also be detected by any attacker.

Fiber Taps – Network Splitter

Fiber Taps are passive coupling elements for the safe and reliable tap network data in optical networks. Here these taps are looped into the to be monitored fiber optic line and route all traffic from interruption. These optical taps do not require electricity, are purely passive components and therefore untraceable without expensive test equipment in the network.

Aggregation Taps

Aggregation Taps possess the ability to combine multiple data streams or as the name suggests, aggregate. This results in a substantial advantage: You can evaluate this technique using a single network interface on your analyzer data from multiple lines simultaneously.

Regeneration Taps

Regeneration pads are ideal to monitor critical network data with multiple analyzers simultaneously. Use of Regeneration Taps traffic without much effort at the same time various monitoring is provided devices. Regeneration Taps duplicate the tapped traffic across multiple monitoring ports and work technically and signal regenerators.

Bypass Switches

Bypass Switch can be operated synchronously in 3 modes (bypass, Breakout, Aggregation)!

  • The traffic is transparent to a line sensor such as forwarded an IPS appliance for inspection
  • The data are derived separately as a break-out tab as TX & RX
  • Furthermore, for example, two other analyzers receive the data in an aggregated form

Network Packet Brokers

Network Packet Brokers also Data (Network) Monitoring Switch called to help you to manage your passive tapped network data intelligently and make – through innovative technology – the analysis tools, the data packets reliably and in an optimized form. Media type and speed of your network are irrelevant, because these devices with SFP / SFP + / QSFP ports are equipped and edit the data packets without affecting the active line and redistribute to your liking. By filtering the data with hardware-based filtering mechanisms before release, so you can, for example, multiple 10G pipes with existing 1G analysis tools to evaluate and simultaneously reduce the amount of data for easy and reliable analysis.
